The paper discusses the necessity of studying appropriate economic scale of drill workload for geological survey projects, from the aspects of reasonable allocation of resources, effective arrangement of economic activities, and the characteristics of geological survey. Then, the paper puts forward the basic approach to the study and factors should be considered in the study. Also, it offers related specific proposals.
