近代湘中人才群体构成及其崛起原因分析

Analysis of Composition of the Talents Group in Modern Central Hunan and the Causes of Its Rise

近代湘中英才辈出,既出现了曾国藩、罗泽南一代湘军将帅,又产生了陈天华、蔡锷一代民国功臣;既涌现了宋希濂、廖耀湘等抗日名将,也孕育了蔡和森、彭述之等中共先驱。近代湘中人才之所以能如此异军突起、群星灿烂,原因有三:一是近代中国社会的急剧变化与转型,提供了重要的历史机遇;二是经世致用与勇于担当的湖湘文化传统,为之提供了强大的精神动力;三是同辈之间的互相帮衬及湘军一代对后辈的提携培养,为之提供了宝贵的人脉资源。

In Modern times,a number of brilliant talents sprang up in modern central Hunan,such as the General Zeng Guofan and Luo Zenan,the meritorious statesmen Chen Tianhua and Cai E,the famous anti-Japanese heroes Song Xilian and Liao Yaoxiang. It has also nurtured the CPC pioneers Cai Hesen and Peng Shuzhi. There are three reasons contributing to the rise and its prosperity of the talents in modern central Hunan. First,the rapid change and transformation of modern Chinese society provides an importantly historical opportunity for their debut;second,the traditional Huxiang culture,which focuses on 'study and practice,be brave to take responsibility' provides a strong motivation for their success. Third,the mutual help among peers and the first generation’s support to their successors provides valuable friendsourcing.
