“广人文,重实务”:民国新闻教育的实践性考察

Humanity and Professionalism:A Research on the Practicality of Journalism Education in Republic of China

20世纪20年代开始,围绕着"新闻教育的第一要义应该是什么"这样的核心问题,民国报界和教育界对于新闻教育中实践性的内涵进行了多元而丰富的思辨,并重点借鉴以美国密苏里大学新闻学院为先导的教育模式,形成"广人文、重实务"的总体特征,摈弃将"实践性"等同于职业技能培训的过度实用主义、功利化的倾向。在这种对于实践性的辩证认识下,民国新闻教育从师资构成、课程设置到学生实习、实践平台的打造,都充分体现了人文学科基础和专业技能训练并重的理念。考察和反思民国新闻教育中的实践性理念及制度建构,在新的时代背景下协调学理性与实践性的关系,仍然是今后新闻学教育中的主流问题。

Focusing on 'What's the first point of journalism education',the academia and journalistic circles had debated since 1920 s and finally formed the character of humanity and professionalism.In this process, 'The Missourian Methodthe Missouri Method' played an important role to abandon the over—utilitarian tendency.Journalism education in Republic of China went through with the idea of paying equal attention on humanity and professionalism,which reflected on faculty constitute,course setting,practical platform building and so on.It is still a mainstream issue to coordinate the relationship of theory and practice from today's point of view,so the experience of journalism education in Republic of China will provide useful reference.
