Mahatma Gandhi developed a set of views on journalism through his rich media practice during Indian independence movement.He created multiple-language versions of six newspapers and was committed to serving Indian people and promoting non-violent ideas.Gandhi’s thoughts on journalism,which were based on independent spirit and the perspective of civilians,reflect the concept of fighting for peace,independence of journalism,equality of all people,and serving readers.And his corresponding newspaper activities had facilitated the development of non-cooperative movement.
