由美国沙兰·B·梅里亚姆与拉尔夫·G·布罗克特合著、云南大学陈红平与王加林合译的《成人教育的理论与实践:导论》一书,系统论述了西方,特别是北美迅速发展中的成人教育理论与实践,立足多维视角,阐释了成人教育的理论基础,从成人教育提供者与学习者两个角度双向理顺了成人学习的概念,并对成人教育专业化的进程进行了深度考察与剖析,主张未来应以批判性思维不断审视实践、反思实践,不仅对推动我国本土化成人教育理论与实践的发展具有指导价值,同时也为其他教育领域课程的学习奠定了基础。

The book'The Profession and Practice of Adult Education:An Introduction',co-authored by Sharan B.Merriam and Ralph G.Brockett and co-translated by Chen Hongping and Wang Jialin of Yunnan University,was published by Beijing Normal University Press in December 2016.This book systematically discusses the theory and practice of adult education in the West,especially in North America.It expounds the theoretical basis of adult education from a multi-dimensional perspective,rationalizes the concept of adult learning from the perspective of adult education providers and learners,and then conducted an in-depth study and analysis of the process of adult education specialization.It is advocated that future practice should be continuously examined and reflected on through critical thinking.To sum up,this book not only has guiding value for the development of China’s localized adult education theory and practice,but also lays a foundation for the course study in other fields of education.
