Du Yunxie is one of the most important poets in the Nine Leaves Poets in 1940s whose works mainly reveal the negative side of the reality and life by means of satire. But that is only one part of his poetic characteristics. What the poet wanted to express is the ideal and thirst of the real life and reality. His methods of revealing the negative side of life and reality are to outline the truth and essence of life in order to push forward life and reality to the ideal trends.
