The caterpillar fungus season in Lhari

每年的5月初到6月底,勤劳的藏北人都会把所有精力、物力投入到采挖虫草的行动里,他们携家带口,在海拔四五千米之上寻找这种软黄金,其过程艰辛而危险。第一次近距离在嘉黎接触到他们的采挖过程,我们体验到了'匍匐前进'的劳动方式,也由衷叹服藏北人顽强、旺盛的生命力。

From the beginning of May through the end of June each year, Northern Tibetans along with their family, would throw themselves into digging caterpillar fungus. At an altitude of up to four or five kilometers, they seek this kind of soft gold, a primary source of family income.
