X-Ray Guided Percutaneous Needle Biopsy of Mediastinum

36例X线导向经皮针吸纵隔活检的结果,有31例明确了诊断(86.1％),5例阴性(13.9％)。出现气胸者4例(11.1％),仅1例需要抽气治疗。X线导向经皮针吸纵隔活检已是放射科医师的重要诊断手段,并有助于提高诊断阳性率。

This article reports 36 cases of percutaneous needle biopsy of mediastinal masses, which gave 86.1% positive and 13.9% negative results. In our series pneumothorax occurred in 4 cases (11.1%), but only one of them required treatment. X-Ray guided percutaneous needle biopsy has become an important diagnostic tool in the hands of radiologists. It gives them the opportunity to participate in making decisions concerning diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of patients. The presence of a cytologist in the X-ray department during biopsy is, in our view, the arrangement of choice for better results.
