摘要
弹性分组环(RPR)技术定义了一种新型的MAC层协议,采用了共享介质传输和空间重用协议以及故障保护时的弹性机制,同时还支持业务分级(ServiceLevelAgreement,SLA)和即插即用等特性,是未来城域网技术的重要发展方向。对弹性分组环的关键技术之一--自动拓扑发现协议进行了深入细致的研究,包括拓扑发现的帧格式、算法以及拓扑发现的实现,最后进行了拓扑发现实例分析。
Resilient Packet Ring (RPR) defines a new type of MAC protocol, which uses shared medium and spatial reuse protocol and intelligent protection mechanism. It also supports service level agreement (SLA) and plug-and-play. RPR is an important technology in metro area network (MAN). In this paper, we give a detailed description on one of the critical technology in RPR--topology discovery protocol, including the topology discovery packet format, algorithm and the implementation, etc. Finally, we analyze an example of RPR topology discovery.
