The Supervision by Media and the Independence of Trial and Decision

针对新闻舆论监督和审判机关接受监督方面存在的诸多问题,必须通过进一步实施审判公开制度;加强对新闻采访活动的管理;正确反映舆论,引导舆论,促进审判公正,维护审判机关的形象;完善新闻立法;提高新闻工作者的素质等措施,使新闻舆论监督与审判机关独立审判真正辩证地统一起来。

There are many problems not only in the supervision by media but also in the judicial organs in subjecting themselves to the supervision. Therefore, in order to dialectically unite the supervision by media and independence of the trial and decision by the judicial organs, effective measures have to be taken. The measures include strengthening the system of open trial, exercising good management of the newsgathering, truly reporting and leading the public opinion, promoting the open trial, safeguarding the court's characteristics, perfecting news legislation and improving the qualities of journalists.
