There has been an argument about the origin of Chinese characters. We believe that Chinese characters, being the symbol system for recording, were produced under the influence of the Eighth Diagrams pattern which transforms the direct and concrete observation of the natural things into the abstract symbol. On the basis of the primary drawing and recording, people invented Chinese characters.
