审美活动在信息时代不仅能够在人们的精神生活中继续发挥她在历史上已经发挥过的作用,而且能够在物质生产领域发挥更直接、更现实的作用。审美活动在信息时代的另一个重要作用表现为它对社会发展观念的引导。图形幻界、虚拟现实和新电文表现主义是信息时代的审美活动的新发展。在信息时代,新的审美对象将不断地涌现,新的审美方式将进一步优化我们的生活,传统的审美价值和审美观念也将得到新的发展。

The author argues that in the information age, aethetic activities can not only continue their longstanding roles in human beings' mental life, but also can give more direct and practical effects than ever in the area of material production, and especially, they can play a main role in guiding the ideas about social development. In information age, magical graphical display, viertual reality and cyberspace writing are new forms of aethetic expresion. The author believe, with more new aethetic ofjects emerging, new aethetic styles will beautify our lieves and bring fuesh air into traditional aethetic values and conceptions.
