The Contemporary Direction of Human Development

以发展求生存是人与物在生存方式上的根本区别之一,但现代化凸现了发展对于人的生存的意义和价值。现代化进程中的发展困境和危机迫使人类反思传统的发展理念和发展模式,可持续发展观正是这一反思的结果。可持续发展观反映了人的发展在当代的转向要求:从为生存而发展到为发展而生存,表现为人的可持续发展观和人类整体发展观的萌生。

One of the basic differences between human beings and other things is that human beings depend on development to survive. But development becomes more meaningful and valuable than ever before for mankind because of modernization. Man has to reflect the traditional patterns and ideas of the development. As the result of the reflection the viewpoint of sustainable development indicates human development changes his direction in contemporary age: Changed from for survival to development to for development to survival, which includes the formation of both the viewpoints of sustainable development and human development as a whole.
