The commemorative coin for birth of The Republic with the portrait of Sun Yat sen had three kinds included top pentagonal star, bottom pentagonal star and a hexangular star, and there had different opinions on the casting time of the first one. From the records of Dr Ros, the author thought that all these coins with pentagonal star were made by the Nan Jing Mint in 1912.
