That a vigorous memory is indispensable to language learning no one would dispute, yet not many language learners have a clear idea how their memory could be improved for this purpose. This paper calls attention to major mnemonic skills, arguing that these techniques, and a general mnemonics as well, have significant implications for language learning and teaching.
