The tense system of systemic-functional grammar

摘要以古典语法为基础的英语早期传统语法时态模式发展到今天 ,大致分为三个派别。本文主要阐述扩充派之一系统功能语法关于时态的观点。系统功能语法学派认为时态属于词组层次 ,由动词词组来体现。其时态系统建立在两个基本原则上 :一是三分制 ,即英语有三种基本时态———过去、现在和将来 ;二是递归性 ,即时态在系统内可作重复选择。时态与其它表达时间概念的语言手段不同 ,但它们相互补充。 The English traditional model of tense proposed by Lily in 16 th century was based on classical grammars. Up to now it has grown into three modern models. This paper deals with the tense system of systemic_functional grammar, which is one of the expansion type. It is held within the systemic_functional grammar that tense is located at the group rank and is realized by the verbal group. The tense system is based on two basic principles. That is, the tense system is 'past/present/future', and it is systemically recursive: repeated selections can be made from the same system. Although tense is different from other resources that also express time, they complement each other.
