The basic functions of executive information system (EIS) and the requirement of manufacturing enterprises for it is summarized,and the EIS's effect in supporting executive work of the manufacturing enterprises is analyzed in the following three aspects: acquiring information of executives, improving efficiency and supporting the decision-making process of executives.
