This paper analyzes the legislative background of the Law of Land Contract, puts forward and appraises the fundamental institutions that specified in the law. In the author's opinion, this law contributes to ensuring farmers' rights and interests, and to advancing the sustainable and stable development of rural economy, but it still has some shortcoming.
