动名词具有动词和名词的特征,它有自己的逻辑主语,这个主语可以是句子的主语也可以不是。本文通过对动名词的主语的格问题和它的主语缺省问题的研究,认为动名词的主语支配是由以下三要素的相互作用所决定的:每个主要动词的语义内容,动名词的语法意义和动名词与主要动词的功能。

Gerund has the characteristics of both verb and noun,an d it has its own logical subject,which may be the same as the main sentence's subject or may not.This article researches the case and absence of gerund's subject.It draws the conclusion that the subject control of the gerund is the product of the logical interaction of the three factors:the semantic con-tact of each matrix verb,the grammatical meaning of the-ing,and the function of the-ing with respect to the matrix.
