In the current world, the international competition under economic globalization is not only a comprehensive national power competition on the basis of social productivities, but also a kind of institutional competition. The article introduces the importance of institution under economic globalization and points out that economic competition, to a certain extent, is showing as a institutional competition. Then it analyses institutional competition's connotations , forming reasons and effects, so as to support help and experience for economic development and exertion of institutional efficiency in China under the background of economic globalization.
