Measures to strengthen the control system against research misconduct:a lesson from Schn event

介绍贝尔实验室调查所属科研人员涉嫌科学造假事件的经过。指出科学界及编辑界应从中吸取的教训 ,并提出了须进一步强化的几项控制与防范措施。

In this paper, an event of research misconduct is described. Schn,the employee of Bell Labs, had engaged in scientific misconduct by falsifying and fabricating experimental data between 1998 and 2001. The lessons from Schn event and relevant countermeasures are also discussed.
