汉民族民间歌舞不够发达,而且自宋以后,越往近代,越靠近汉民族文化中心区,就越不发达,这与汉民族文化中强烈的性禁忌有密切与直接的关系。纸、笔(印刷)是书面文学传播的重要工具、手段与方法,对书面文学有着举足轻重的影响。我国的造纸术与印刷术在宋代发展成熟并且相汇,使文学作品的大规模展开与传播成为可能,从而为宋元时期小说的兴起提供了基础与前提。

The method of making paper and printing is developed and combined in the Song Dynasty, it made possible that the literary words were created and spreaded in large scale. It provided base and the prepequisite for the rising of the novel in the Song Dynasty.
