A Comparison of the Forms of English and Chinese Euphemisms

英汉语委婉语在表达方式上既不乏相同之处,也存在不少差异。本文主要从语音、词汇、语法及修辞等方面就英汉委婉语的表达方式作一对比研究,以增强人们跨文化交际意识及能力。

There are many similarities and differences about the forms of English and Chinese euphemisms. This paper makes a comparative study of the forms of English and Chinese euphemisms from the aspects of phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and rhetoric devices so as to improve people's abilities in cross-cultural communication.
