21st Century Strategy for Neo-Daoism

在比较西方文化、儒家文化、佛教文化等多种文化的基础上论证了道学文化作为21世纪文化战略的必然性,并提出取中外文明之精华对道家文化进行综合创新,形成新道家学派,从而创立有时代精神的新道学的历史使命。全面揭示出道学的精要,阐述了新道学的文化观、社会观、伦理观和个人生命观,指出道是人类知识之根、学术之本,它是宗教的终极信仰,哲学的智慧之源,科学的原始公设,美学的最高境界,伦理的基本价值取向,世界文明的坚实支点,人类精神回归的家园。

Based on the comparison of several cultures including Western culture, Confucian culture and Buddhist culture, this article examines the inevitability of Daoist culture in the 21st Century cultural strategies. In addition, it extracts the flower of Chinese and foreign cultures and places them against Daoism to create a comprehensively new order, forming a new Daoist tradition and establishing the historical mission of Neo-Daoism, a Daoism that contains the spirit of the times. This article brings to full light the essential nature of Daoism, expounding on Neo-Daoist cultural, social, ethical and personal outlooks. It points out that Daoism is the root of humanity's knowledge and the basis of scholarship. It is the ultimate faith in religion, the wellspring of philosophical wisdom, the original formulation of science, the basis from which ethic evaluations take their direction, the solid underpinnings of global civilization, and the home of humanity's spirit.
