Tradition, Modernity, and Post Modern

现代性是多元、多样的,因而传统和现代性可以会通,中国的现代性也自有特色;当代西方哲学对西方现代性的批判,围绕现代性与后现代的论争,对研究与实现中国的现代性有参考价值;要加强中国现代性的哲学研究。

This paper maintains that modernity is of plurality and diversity, and hence both tradition and modernity might be in convergence, Chinese modernity has its own characteristics. The critiques of western modernity and disputations on modernity and post-modern made by the contemporary western philosophies are of referential values for our exploring and realizing Chinese modernity. The paper further proposes several aspects of strengthening philosophical studies on Chinese modernity.
