赫哲语已属濒危语种,但是,对其濒危的原因、途径、过程很少有文涉及。对濒危语言的研究,首先 要明晰语言使用者和语言本身。在对赫哲语的研究过程中,赫哲人生活的地域、转用其他语言的时间和过程、 掌握母语人口的地理分布、母语语言功能的变化及对母语的态度和愿望都是特别重要的环节。

Although Hezhen has been an endangered language, its endangering cause, way and process are seldom related in articles. It is primary to make clear of the speakers and the language itself in research of an endangered language. In the studies of Hezhen, some parts are extremely important including the living area of Hezhen people, the time and process that they use other languages, the geographical distribution of people who grasp their mother tongue, the functional transition of their mother language and their attitude and wish to their mother tongue.
