New Progress in Public Security Affairs in Mountain Areas under the Guide of the Spirit of 16th Party Conference

山区公安机关在全面建设小康社会的进程中面临维稳工作的复杂性、治安形势的严峻性、安全隐患的多样性、涉毒违法犯罪的严重性、群众法制意识的淡薄性、警务保障的滞后性等形势,必须做到观念求新、工作求实、改革求效、执法求公、保障求力、队伍求严,努力实现公安工作新跨越的目标。

In the course of complete construction of wealthy society, the public security organs in the mountain areas is confronted with many issues, such as the complicated maintenance of stability, the serious public order situation, the various destructive factors to safety, the serious offense related to drugs, the weak legal sense of the public and the weak security of the police, etc. In order to make the new progress in public security affairs in mountain areas, the following must be done: change of ideas, reform for efficiency, fair enforcement, effec-tive security and so on.
