Jiangsu marine environment and coastal economic development

根据多年对江苏省海岸研究,提出江苏淤泥质平原岸外古长江三角洲受潮流辐射改造,形成岸外海底沙脊群及沙脊之间的潮流通道,经多种方法研究测算,得出其中主要的潮流通道具有稳定性、良好的地质基础、古地理条件及强大的动力条件的结论,可建设为深水航道深水港。同时分析了洋口港将是江苏沿江开发的延伸,对江苏经济发展意义重大。

Many years' research on the coasts of Jiangsu Province indicates that the ancient Yangtze River Delta and its distributaries along the coastal ooze plain of Jiangsu Province have evolved into sandbanks and tidal channels among them under the action of seawater intrusion. Calculation shows that the main tidal channels have high stability, good geological basis, ancient geographic condition, and powerful dynamic condition, which are suitable for construction of a deep-water port with deep-water channels. It is also pointed out that the development of the Yangkou Port is the extension of the development along the Yangtze River, and is of significance to the development of Jiangsu economy.
