从短时交通流预测定义出发 ,介绍短时交通流预测的原理及预测模型应具有的特性 ,重点介绍几种预测模型 ,对其建模的理论基础、特点及其可行性、有效性进行分析 ,并比较和评价各类预测模型。

In this paper, the short-term traffic forecasting is defined, the principium of short-term traffic flow forecasting and the characteristic of the model are introduced. The methods on short-term traffic flow forecasting are summarized. Then, the theoretic foundation, the feasibility and validity of some models are recommended and appraised.
