摘要
In October 2002,the Archaeological Team of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region carried out a rescuing excavation on the Gexinqiao site in Baise City.In the fifth layer of the site, they discovered a large-sized stone implement workshop, which yielded tens of thousands of stone artifacts and other objects. There are a great amount of stone material,tool-making implements such as stone hammers, anvils and whetstones,as well as axes, adzes and other products at different working stages. The site can be preliminarily dated to the middle and late Neolithic Age,about 7th-6th millennium BP.The discovery is of great academic value to studying stone-working processes and technology at that time.
