The paper analyzes the current situation and existing problems of Guangdong Radio & Television U-niversity. It argues that, in order to forge rapidly ahead, GDTVU should 1) be more independent in its educational reform,2)bring forth new ideas in running the university,3)introduce the market system and 4)increase the cooperation with other universities or educational organizations.
