The Newly-discovered Materials of Du Fu

“诗圣”一词首出于杨慎,见其《词品·序》,而非王嗣奭;杜诗有两处记录安史叛军焚烧唐室宗庙,古今杜诗注本均失注,而两唐书皆有相关记载。

The word 'poet-sage' was first used by Yang Shen in his Preface to Notes on Ci Poetry,not by Wang Si-shi. There are two records in Du Fu' s poems about the aucestral temple of the Tang Dynasty which was burned by the rebel army of An Lu-shan. There haven't been any notes about this in the annotated books about Du Fu's poems,but there have been records in the history of the Tang Dynasty.
