AIM:To explore the application of the acoustic parameter analysis system of Multi Dimensional Voice Program(MDVP)in oesophageal voice and the tracheo esophageal prosthetic voice, and to summarize the acoustic parameters by analyzing the voice quality. METHODS:Twenty subjects were laryngectomized esophageal speaker, and 18 were laryngectomized, tracheo esophageal speaker.Perceptual evaluation was applied and 5 five point scales were used to grade. MDVP of Kay Elemetrics was used to analyze the acoustic parameters. RESULTS:①Significant Pearson correlation(P< 0.05 or P< 0.01)was found between the subjective evaluation and many of the acoustic parameters.②Significant Pearson correlation was found among many of the acoustic parameters(P< 0.05 or P< 0.01).③Principal component analysis(PCA) decomposed the correlation matrix of acoustic parameters into 6 factors.Five of them could be named. The consistency of the results of PCA and the classification of acoustic parameters, along with the correlation between the acoustic parameters and subjective evaluation, attested that MDVP could be applied in the analysis of oesophageal voice and the tracheo esophageal prosthetic voice. CONCLUSION:MDVP analyses system can be applied in the inspection of oesophageal voice and the tracheo esophageal prosthetic voice. Fundamental frequency perturbation, noise, sustained uninterrupted ability of voice are the main influences that affect ordinary people's evaluation of the quality of oesophageal voice and the tracheo esophageal prosthetic voice.
