Rebuilding the Pedigree Chart of Chinese Literature

文学史的写作不仅要把握文学是一种生命体验这一要义,同时需要树立起“大文学观”的理念,从文化表达的层面创建现代中国的文学学理体系。因此,可以从如下三个层面来重新考察中国文学的历史:一是精神层面的内外相应,即个体生命与历史时代命题的交互作用;二是文化层面的雅俗相推,即文人探索与民间智慧的互动互补;三是跨地域民族文化的多元重组,即中原文学与边地少数民族文学的相激相融。

To investigate into the history of Chinese literature means not only to grasp the key point of regarding literature as a living experience, but also to set up an ideal of 'Great Literature', by way of which we can found a modern scholarly system of Chinese literature on the basis of cultural expression. Therefore, we can study Chinese literature from three aspects; firstly is the interaction between the individual life and the historical epoch; secondly is the mutual complementation between the elite and the folklore; thirdly is the trans - regional and cross - cultural multivariate combination , i.e. the mutual complementation between the literature of Central Plain and that of national minorities.
