On Appendix Initially: It must be Named

究竟什么是附录?长期以来,观点不一,各执一词,各行其是,迄无共识。辞书学界有"广义论"与"狭义论"两种观点,而两种理解之中,又见仁见智,见解纷呈。分析了这种状况,提出了"兼容论"的观点,试图对辞书附录作一点新的界定、概括与划分。

It has long been argued about what on earth appendix is. Generally there are two views on the issue among the lexicographical field: the Theory of a Broad Sense and The Theory of a Narrow Sense. In addition, even within each of the two theories, people comprehend them variously. In this article writer analyzes these existences, and proposes the Theory of Compromise, which intends to make a new definition, generalization or division to the appendix of lexicographic works.
