In the cultural heritage interpretation plans of foreign countries, thematic interpretation is an important tool to analyze the heritage value and confirm the interpretive content, which laid a foundation for the following planning and design. This article starts with the concept of 'interpretation', through the analysis of three different cases of heritage interpretive plans, to discuss the role of the interpretive themes and necessity of developing a thematic framework, and then discuss its enlightenment to China's cultural heritage presentation planning and design.
