With the development of science & technology and advancement of civilization level, domestic designers pay more and more attention to traditional clothes. By virtue of its unique charm and Chinese characteristics, cheongsam is deeply favored by Chinese people. Every Chinese female should own her own cheongsam. As there are more and more researches on intangible cultural heritages, domestic designers also explore deeply in the technology of traditional cheongsam. In this context, how to carry forward Chinese traditional clothing culture in foreign countries and create cheongsam brands with Chinese characteristics becomes an important subject to be researched in the clothing industry. Therefore, based on Chinese national situation and the historical background, Chinese clothing industry should seek for innovative application of cheongsam technology in modern design, thus promoting the rapid development of cheongsam industry.
