Few research has been conducted of sign language policy and planning due to the specialty of sign languages and deaf people.This article focuses on the introduction and analysis of British Sign Language(Scotland)Act.The data is collected by attending the meetings on the Act,interviewing with the key players involved in the Act,and digging into the published bills.First,the pathway of legalization and latest progress is described,which is followed by the analysis of the strategy adopted by those advocating organization to guarantee its pass.Furthermore,it will be compared to other language acts after which it models to discuss its features,significance,strength and weakness,followed finally by the possible suggestion on the similar language plan at home based on the above discussion.
