摘要
通过描述欧盟中小学外语教育语种布局的现状,并分析其背后的逻辑,文章发现,欧盟国家(地区)普遍在中小学开展第二,甚至第三外语教学,语种多样。英语、法语、德语等语言为各国(地)普遍重视。除语言背后的经济实力之外,一种语言在世界文化传播体系中的地位和境内使用该语言的移民数量,是影响欧盟中小学外语教育语种布局的重要因素。
This article describes the most updated development of foreign languages education in EU countries,especially what foreign languages are required or expected to be taught by educational authorities,and further analyses what influences such decisions.It is found that although a variety of foreign languages are taught in EU,a few languages,namely English,French and German predominate.As is shown by Logistic regression analysis,apart from the economic power,the centrality rank of a language in international knowledge network and the immigrants make-up in a country play an important role in foreign language selection in EU primary and middle schools.
