略论我国高等学校的办学特色

A Brief Study on the Characteristics of Founding Institutions of High Learning

高等学校的办学特色是高等教育改革的一大难点。高就等学校办学特色的重要性进行了阐述,认为办学特色既是是高校生存发展的基础、参与竞争的前提,又是高校赢得社会地位的关键。在此基础上,提出了高校应着力在人才培养模式、学科建设、课程建设、师资队伍建设、人文精神和素质教育等方面形成自身的特色,提高办学水平。

Whether an institution of higher learning has its own characteristics or not is one of the difficulties in the reform of higher education. The possession of its own characteristics is of vital importance in the founding of an institution of higher learning: it is the very basis for survival, the precondition to take part in competition and the key to establish itself in society. It is proposed in this paper that institutions of higher learning should form their own characteristics and upgrade their level by paying special attention to their talent-training models, subject construction, the construction of teaching contingent, human spirit and quality-oriented education.
