中国汉代知识分子处于封建皇权专制的大背景下,具有独特的个性。通过对《盐铁论》中"贤良文学"的解析,分析了汉代知识分子在皇权专制下的理想与抱负受到前所未有压制的社会现实,论述了汉代知识分子继承儒家传统,具有积极入世和以"道"自任的精神,阐释了汉代知识分子的政治理想和独特个性。

The characters of Chinese intellectuals are quite different from those of the West. Because the intellectuals in the Han Dynasty are ruled by the imperial system, their characters take special bearings. An analysis is made to the 'Elite Literature' in this paper to reveal the unprecedented suppression that they received in their ideals and ambitions under the Han imperial system. The reasons for their active life attitude and strong sense of responsibility are explained with detailed investigation made into the political ideals and unique individuality of the Han Confucian intellectuals.
