New exploration of "顺" of "妇顺"

《礼记·昏义》"妇顺"之"顺"的解释,随着时代的变迁,发生了不小的偏差,历代许多注家多将其释读为新妇对舅姑的单向服从,即顺从之意。通过对相关文献的细读探究,及战国之后经法家转手后汉朝人对文献进行篡改或误读的历史解读,可知《礼记·昏义》"妇顺"之"顺",不是侧重新妇对舅姑的单向服从或顺从关系,而是双向的理顺与和顺。

The meaning of ' 顺' of ' 妇顺' in Meaning of Marriage of Rite Records has changed with the times. Many scholars in the past explained it as the one- way obedience of bride to husband's father and mother. But after textual research,we found that ' 顺' of' 妇顺' refers to mutual respect rather than one- way obedience or submission.
