Experimental Analysis of an Innovative High Efficiency Aluminium Billet Heater

摘要 The paper presents the design procedure of a novel aluminum billet heater based upon the concept of inducing eddy-currents by rotating permanent magnets around a fixed billet.An industrial scale prototype has been realized following the directions of the described design procedure which is based upon numerical Finite Elements models.Some comparisons between the results of numerical models with experimental ones are also presented.
