澳门回归20年经济民生发展的回顾与前瞻

Economic and Social Development in Retrospect and Prospects over the Past 20 years Since Macao's Return

回归20年来,在"一国两制"方针和中央政府的大力支持下,在先后以何厚铧和崔世安为行政长官的澳门特别行政区政府的共同努力下,澳门无论在经济社会发展还是城市建设方面都取得了令人瞩目的成就,国际知名度日益提升,由昔日一座不太起眼的小城蜕变成为亚洲最富裕的天堂。经济快速发展,GDP及人均GDP显著增长。居民生活大幅改善,教育文化、体育和社会福利事业等发展突飞猛进。本文对澳门回归20年来在经济与民生领域取得的成就进行回顾和总结,针对一些问题和挑战提出相关意见和建议。

Over the past 20 years after the establishment of the Macao Special Administration Region(SAR),thanks to the implementation of the'One Country,Two Systems'Policy and the strong support of the Central Government,Macao SAR has achieved remarkable results in economic,social and urban development under the leadership of former Chief Executive Mr.Edmund Ho Hau Wah and incumbent Chief Executive Dr.Fernando Chui Sai On.Macao has risen from obscurity to become the wealthiest city in Asia:its international visibility is expanding,its economy grows rapidly,as shown in the drastic increase in its GDP and per capita GDP,the living standards are greatly elevated,and education,culture,sport,and social welfare sectors are advancing by leaps and bounds.This paper looks back on what the SAR government has achieved in the past two decades in the economic sphere and people’s livelihood and proposes suggestions on some issues and challenges identified.
