The term'semantics'in the present paper means the cognitive elements evoked by the verb huàn(换)and the like,which mean'exchange'.The term'sentence pattern'refers to the linear order of those cognitive elements evoked by a certain cognitive scene after they are profiled twice.This paper gives a comprehensive description of the various kinds of sentence patterns based on the elements of syntactic structure mapping,and also gives an explanation of the relevant phenomena.In addition,it attempts to explore the syntactic and semantic similarities and differences among those verbs by means of the different levels of cognitive scenes.
