The paper summarizes the experiences of Offshore Oil Development (Dril ling and Production) Standardization Committee in drafting and perfecting a seri es of well drilling and completion standards, normalizing management, and improv ing operation level and management level. It also describes the important role o f standardization work played in speeding up the technical progress, advancing t he home-making of equipment and safeguarding the rights and interests of enterp rise.
