社会关系网络对农民工择业行为的影响研究——以武汉市武昌区建筑工群体为例

Study on the Influence of Social Networks on Migrant Workers' Job Selection Behavior——Taking Construction Workers in Wuhan as An Example

文章通过对150位武汉武昌区建筑农民工进行问卷调查和访谈,深入分析建筑工群体的社会关系网络特征,以及社会网络对其择业行为的影响与作用机制。研究发现:研究农民工社会关系网络特征需考虑其行业岗位及城市居住时间等因素;强关系虽有助于农民工获得就业信息和精神生活支持,但强同质性特征固化了其社会关系网络;政府、市场对农民工择业的帮扶力度小,弱关系网络作用不显著,反映出当前我国劳动力市场城乡二元分割的体制性原因,弱关系网络的缺失给农民工代际流动的实现带来了较大阻碍。

In this paper,through questionnaire survey and interviews with 150 construction workers in Wuchang District of Wuhan,analyzes the characteristics of the social relations network of construction workers and the influence and mechanism of social network on their career choice. The study found that the characteristics of migrant workers' social networks need to consider the factors such as job status and city residence time. Although strong relationship can help migrant workers obtain employment information and spiritual life support,strong homogeneity characteristics solidify their social relation network; The government and the market have little help to the job-hunting of migrant workers,and the weak relationship network is not significant. Because of the restriction of the social network,the choice channels of construction migrant workers are more single and narrow. These findings have implications for how social networks can be extended to promote employment for migrant workers.
