Resistance to ‘Gender Consumption'——Poetry Creation of Zhai Yongming in Recent Years

男权观念下的两性不平等关系延续至当下的消费社会,导致女性被"物化"为一种符号,牺牲于男性的欲望性窥视之中。翟永明新世纪以来的诗歌创作,对女性身体和话语在男性主导下的"被剥夺"和"被消费"现象有着深刻而冷静的探索。同时,翟永明也通过诗性书写抵抗"性别消费"现象,建构崭新的女性身份,开拓更为广阔的女性生存空间。

With the background of gender inequality in male-dominated society continuing into the consuming society nowadays,female has been materialized to a symbol of male’s desire and gaze. The poetry creation of Zhai Yongming in the new century has a deep and calm insight into the phenomenon of males depriving and consuming females’ body and discourse right. Meanwhile,Zhai Yongming resisted to ‘gender consumption’through her poetry to construct female’s identify and provide a broader living space for them.
