Corpus linguistics,as a significant linguistic approach,has attracted considerable attention in recent years. Corpora make it possible for a more objective and comprehensive study on the comparison of language with large amounts of language instances provided. By employing the corpus of COCA,this article will launch a comparative study on the collocations after 'arrive in'and 'arrive at'considering common nouns,proper nouns,and temporal nouns from the perspective of frequency,register,range,etc.
