In August of 1955,the New Asia journal was officially published.The foreword of the New Asia journal written by Qian Mu has always been regarded as one of the most important and significant to the academic history.The academic theory and thought of Qian Mu had changed in 1950 s,and there is no doubt that this foreword is one of the essential factor.In order to completely understand the overall changes in his academic career,we need not only to combine all the typical articles in the period of 1920 s to 1950 s,but also go back to the specific academic context and the social background,and try to focus on the specific exchanges between the scholars relationship and the argument.As a programmatic document of New Asia Institute of Advance Chinese Studies,this foreword also stands for the common will and academic spirit of all the colleagues.
